Tour De Gaggs - The Alan Gallagher Memorial Cycle

Tour De Gaggs 2012 will take place Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th. Given the success of last year's event we're going with the "if it's not broken, don't fix it" approach. The overall route will be the same, starting in Cork and cycling to to Roscommon via Salthill in Galway (see the route tab). Like last year we will be stopping for the night in Ennis, so the 300km cycle is roughly evenly spread over the two days.

Tour De Gaggs is first and foremost a memorial to our friend and brother Alan "Gaggs" Gallagher. It's an opportunity to get together to remember Alan, share stories and memories and celebrate his life and the legacy of friendships that he left behind... and we just might have a few celebratory pints at the end of it!

Once again we also hope to raise some funds for Brainwave The Irish Epilepsy Association. If 2012 participants can raise some sponsorship, small or large, that would be great. That being said, we are very conscious of the fact that people raised a huge amount of money for the 2010 and 2011 events and it's a lot to ask, especially when it means asking the same people again.
